How to Win Games in Clash Royale [iTeach Episode 2]

Hey everyone, Doc Storm here.

What are iTeach Episodes?

iTeach mini series is suppose to help everyone learn how to use cards effectively, importance of placements, how to counter your opponent, and other informative content to ultimately help you WIN MORE GAMES!

I use game plays against certain common decks faced and with explanations on how to beat those decks and how to play cards so you can be more successful at your games!

This Episode's Lesson Recap:

Play Cards with Intent:

Don't drop cards down without thinking. Always think about WHY you are using this card. For example, don't drop goblins when a bomber is coming towards you! Another example, counter their incoming barbarians with a splash damage unit like a Dark Prince and not a regular Prince that does damage to single targets when you have the choice!

Now your thinking, "heck, how do I have time to think about all that?" Well it takes practice! As well there are multiple "reset" situations during a game when players are waiting for max elixir. Don's waste that time and start strategizing!

Countering Units:

Always try to think about how you can take down higher elixir count units with something costing less. For example, Cannons (3 Elixir) to counter a Hog (4 Elixir). Sometimes the less obvious Barbarians (5 Elixir) act as an effective counter to a Hog (4 Elixir) as well! How come you ask? Because your Barbarians after killing their hog riders are at full health still! So you have effectively eliminated a 4 elixir hog in the expense of none of your elixir technically.

How to use Defensive Structures:

Wait, wait, wait! Do not play these too early! Wait till your building is in range to attack the troop you want. For example, your inferno tower should be placed to aim at the giant coming and not the spear goblins. As well if you place the inferno too early, they can counter your tower with minions or goblins before their giant comes and leave you defenceless!

Importance of Play Style:

Everyone has a play style. I play defensive, so I may not play spear goblins to attack a tower from a mid point deployment but some opponents do for some damage (now it can depend on deck and so on as well). Another example is know what they counter your hog rider with every time. If its a minion horde, then maybe follow up the hog with your baby dragon, fireball or even a zap spell to assist your hog rider.

Learning your opponent's play style helps you anticipate their upcoming move so you can better plan for it. Its like playing chess!

Hope you all enjoyed it and as always CLASH ON!
